Colwood National Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Portland, Oregon.
Colwood National first opened for play in 1929. The course was designed by A. Vernon Macan.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,040 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,164 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 5, a par-5 that plays to 495 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 160 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 400 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 12, a 294 yard par-4.
Colwood is open year-round, with carefully manicured greens and great drainage providing maximum playability throughout the year. Colwood's park-like setting has broad, forgiving fairways and its gentle terrain welcome golfers of all abilities, while bunkers and water hazards keep it challenging.
Colwood National Golf Course closed June 1, 2014.
The course was acquired by the City of Portland. The plan is for the property to be divided between industrial development, park space and a nine-hole, par-three golf course and driving range. Across from the stately white clubhouse, restaurant and pro shop, which will remain, will be a five-hole practice area. The 9-hole course and other golf amenities will reportedly open in 2015.

Course is fine for winter play but you will spend time looking for your plugged balls due to soft fairways.
